Charles Freeman is the Technical Group Manager for PNNL's Hydrocarbon Processing group, a 45-person organization that represents the lab's capabilities in applied catalysis, gas separations, and advanced process development.

Mr. Freeman also has a role in leading PNNL's carbon capture technology program portfolio. In this capacity he works with engineers and scientists to identify new and promising capture technologies and technical capabilities that are relevant to the Department of Energy and industry.

Prior to joining PNNL in 2009 Mr. Freeman was the Process Technology Manager for Johns Manville, a global building products company. There he had technical responsibility for process development for more than 30 manufacturing facilities worldwide and more than $50M per year of capital equipment investments for higher efficiency and productivity.
