Kelsey is a Linus Pauling Postdoctoral Fellow interested in the chemistry at photoelectrochemical and electrochemical interfaces that plays a critical role in dictating the performance of catalysts. Her research interests in energy conversion and storage focus on probing reaction mechanisms and the activation of molecules through an understanding of catalyst electronic structure and surface interactions. Before joining PNNL, Kelsey completed her doctoral studies in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, studying oxygen electrocatalysis on model thin film oxide catalysts.
