Transformations: New Initiative in Chemical Transformations, Energy Everywhere, Contradictory Catalyst

Transformations is produced by the Institute for Integrated Catalysis at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

The January 2017 issue of the Institute for Integrated Catalysis' (IIC's) Transformations recognizes innovation in catalysis. The lead story describes the latest lab initiative funded by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory to develop foundational capabilities for chemical conversion processes. Also featured, is a “big idea” which considers converting feedstock to energy.

This issue also contains an article and 90 Seconds of Discovery video demonstrating how slowing down the nickel-based catalyst helps produce hydrogen.
